About New Orleans Culinary History Tours

New Orleans Culinary History Tours is the original culinary tour of New Orleans since 2004. We are locally owned and operated, and a member of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau. Our tour guides are licensed and knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. Our company is dedicated to preserving and teaching a unique part of our country’s and this city’s cultural heritage. The social history of food and drink tells us much about our past as a people and as a nation.

The proprietor and founder, Kelly Hamilton, holds an M.A in History and is a full time instructor at Xavier University of Louisiana where she teaches numerous courses including U.S. History of Ethnicity and Immigration and Louisiana History. All information in the tour is researched and documented. Our company prides itself on historical accuracy and professionalism.
